Overview

About This Trek

The Kheerganga trek is the classic Parvati Valley experience. Starting from Barshaini, the trail follows the Parvati River through dense forests of deodar and pine, passing through small villages and the serpent-shaped Rudra Nag waterfall. After 4–6 hours of walking, you arrive at a wide alpine meadow with a sacred hot spring pool — Parvati Kund — where you can soak in naturally heated water surrounded by mountains. The hot springs are believed to have medicinal properties and are associated with Lord Shiva. This is an ideal first trek or a relaxed weekend escape from the valley.
